1. MOALBOAL MARKET - A visit to the Sunday market in Moalboal where clothing, foods, handicrafts and lots of other stuff is sold to the local townspeople. Several small bars and eatery's flank the market.

 

2. ORCHID GARDEN -  Also in Moalboal town, one of the nicest Orchid Gardens in the Philippines, enjoy the beauty of orchids in it's natural surroundings.

 

3. COCKFIGHT - On Sundays everybody gathers in and around the 'cockpit', an arena that holds a few-hundred people. The cockfight is one of the most popular gambling possibilities in the Philippines. You'll be amazed how one 'bookie' remembers the bets of tens of Filipinos. It's all done in a sign language, so watch your moves, before you know it you have betted a hundred Pesos on 'left'! The local people will love it when you join the game. At the end you can eat the grilled 'losers'.

 

4.KAWASAN FALLS To be reached by boat or road, a 45 min. trip brings you to the outlet of a small river. You follow its banks and surrounded by the jungle you'll hear the roar of the falls increasing as you walk on.

 

Go slowly and enjoy the tropical forest, the sounds of the animals in the trees and the noise of the river as it finds its way over the rocks. A small fee is expected as you enter the last part of the hike. When you reach the first fall you can take a refreshing swim, then climb to the second fall.

 

As you climb further, you reach an artificial lake which is used for the generation of electricity. A bit higher you can see the cave that gives birth to the river. Picnic at the second fall and be home at five.
