Messages Hello to all Seaquest staff at both Sumisid Lodge and Oassis! Carol and I would just like to thank eveyone so much for making our recent visit so wonderful. We had a fantastic time and only wish that we were able to stay longer - but such is life! Everys ingle thing about our stay at the two locations was fantastic. From the simple homely atmosphere and great diving in Sumside lodge to the slightly more luxourious surroundings of Oassis Resort. We must really compliment you guys on the quality of the food at Oassis Resort and also the new "cocktail area" on the beach. Really superb!. Having eaten at a number of other locations on Alona beach I can honestly say that you guys have them beaten hands down! Well done andd thank you very much once more. Can't wait to start planning our next trip, which hopefully will be in the autumn.

Messages Seaquest Dive Center - Philippines. The Dutch owned and run organisation is among the most reliable and efficent I have come across in the Philippines. Resorts at Bohol and Cebu offer divers an incredible array of sites and unlimited excitement. Both Dive Center and resorts are staffed by attentive and amiable staff, and the kitchens by some of the best cooks around - Incredible menues as diverse as the seas around them. Digidiver are running an extended expedition beginning in Bohol, through to Cebu Moalboal and upwards to Malupascua in March 2010. Messages Hallo liebe Tauchgemeinde, vom 06.03.2010 bis zum 19.03.2010 verbrachten meine Freundin & ich 13 super-entspannende Tage in der Sumisid Lodge (Seaquest Dive Center). Das Resort und der Tauchshop sind nicht das Neueste vom Neuen (29 Jahre alt) aber dafür erkennt man an jeder Stelle und zu jeder Zeit die Erfahrung der Leute vor Ort. Die Location befindet sich im Besitz und unter dem Management von BJ Schaap, einem erfahrenen ´alten Fuchs´ im Tourismusgeschäft der Philippinen. Die Lage am Panagsama Beach (ca. 4km entfernt von Moalboal) ist prima, alle Dive Spots liegen in Steinwurfweite und für Abend/Nachtschwärmer sind Restaurants, Bars und eine Disco fußläufig erreichbar. Resort und Diveshop liegen direkt nebeneinander und sind ca. 15-20m vom Meer entfernt. Wir wählten eine Unterkunft ohne Aircon und ohne weiteren ´Schnick-Schnack´. Entsprechend bekamen wir ein geräumiges Zimmer mir Ventilator, 2 Fenstern (Lüftung!) und Meerblick angeboten. Platz zum verstauen unserer 7 Sachen gabs genug. Alle Räume sind sauber und gepflegt, die Verpflegung ist top (wundert euch nicht über Übergewicht...)!! Das Personal (sowohl im Tauchshop als auch im Resort) bekommt von uns eine glatte ´1+ mit *´!!! Immer nett, höflich, hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend, etc, etc... Auch der Chef selbst strahlt eine Souveränität und Ruhe aus, ist immer für seine Gäste da, steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und findet für jedes Problem eine Lösung! Kommen wir zum Kernpunkt - Tauchen... Flexibilität, gute & erfahrene Guides, Speedboot und (s.o.) alle Spots ´um die Ecke´ - was will man mehr... Kein Rudeltauchen, keine unnötigen Formalismen. Anfänger werden unter die Fittiche genommen, erfahrenen Tauchern entsprechende Freiräume gegeben. Auch hier gab´s von uns eine ´1´. Generell kann man sagen, dass sich das Revier (Wall Diving) zum positiven verändert hat. Ghostpipes und Turtles bei fast jedem Tauchgang, Pygmy Seahorse, Leaf & Frogfishes. Haie gabs auch - White & Black Tipped und Grey Reef Sharks. 1-2 Thresher Sharks bei Pesacador Island und Whale Sharks. Die beiden letzten Arten haben wir nicht gesehen, wir wissen aber lt. glaubwürdigen Aussagen, dass sie im Revier zu sehen sind. Last not least -- ein riesiger Sardinenschwarm (...Millionen von Fischen...) vor Pescador, der es um einen herum dunkel werden lässt... Den Korallen könnte es besser gehen, aber das ist eine weltweite Entwicklung. :-(( Eins steht aber für uns jetzt schon fest -- wir kommen wieder!! :-)))
